Terms of Service
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website www.webschoolme.co.za, related pages, forms, content and communications operated by iKnowMe (Pty) Ltd (“iKnowMe”, “WebSchoolMe”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accessing or using the website, submitting a waitlist or registration interest form, or otherwise interacting with our pre-launch services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or submit information to us.
If you use the website on behalf of a school, organisation or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Who we are

3. Pre-launch status and no current sale
At this stage, WebSchoolMe is in a pre-launch / early engagement phase. In particular:
- we are not offering the full learning platform as a paid consumer or institutional product for general purchase on this website;
- waitlist, pilot-interest, partner, government, academic or talent forms are expressions of interest only;
- submitting a form does not create a paid subscription, guaranteed place, pilot contract, employment offer or investment relationship;
- any future paid services, pilots or commercial contracts will be subject to separate terms, pricing and agreements published or signed at that time.
Nothing on the website is an offer to sell securities, equity or investment products.
4. What the website provides
The website may provide information about WebSchoolMe’s vision, system design, educational approach, team trajectory and ways to register interest (for example parents and students, schools, partners, government, academics or talent).
Content is for general information. It is not professional advice (including legal, medical, psychological, financial or investment advice). Curriculum references (such as CAPS, CBC, NaCCA or NERDC) describe intended alignment and do not mean any government has endorsed WebSchoolMe unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
5. Eligibility and children
WebSchoolMe is designed with learners aged approximately 6–18 in mind, together with parents, guardians, schools and other stakeholders.
If you are under the age of legal capacity in your country, you may only use the website and submit personal information with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required by law. Parents and guardians who submit information about a child are responsible for ensuring they are entitled to do so.
We may refuse, suspend or remove access or submissions where we reasonably believe these Terms or applicable law are not met.
6. Accounts and access (when available)
Some areas of the website or future platform may require a login or invite-only access (for example private funding materials or pilot environments). You must keep credentials confidential and not share access except as we permit. You are responsible for activity under your login, except where unauthorised use results from our failure to apply reasonable security measures.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is misuse, security risk, or a breach of these Terms.
7. Waitlists, forms and communications
When you submit a form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that we may contact you about WebSchoolMe using the details you supply, in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Joining a waitlist or registering interest:
- does not guarantee early access, pricing, features or timelines;
- does not oblige you to purchase anything later;
- does not oblige us to launch in any particular country or on any particular date.
You may ask us to stop non-essential marketing communications at any time. Service or transactional messages related to a request you made may still be sent where appropriate.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the website unlawfully or to harm others, including children;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, data, or other users’ information;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the website except with our prior written consent;
- introduce malware, excessive automated requests, or disrupt the service;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or personal information except as allowed by law or our written permission;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
- upload unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or infringing content;
- use the website to send spam or unsolicited promotional material.
We may investigate suspected breaches and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website and its content — including text, branding, logos, graphics, layout, software and trademarks — are owned by iKnowMe (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. WebSchoolMe™ is a product and brand of iKnowMe (Pty) Ltd.
You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial information purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or exploit our content or branding for commercial purposes without our prior written consent, except for limited fair dealing / fair use as permitted by applicable law (for example brief quotation with attribution).
If you submit feedback, ideas or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them to operate and improve WebSchoolMe, without obligation to compensate you, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
10. Third-party links and services
The website may link to third-party sites or services. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
11. Privacy
Personal information is processed as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By using the website, you acknowledge those notices. Where the law requires consent for specific processing, we will request it through an appropriate mechanism.
12. Disclaimer of warranties (pre-launch)
The website and pre-launch materials are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
We do not warrant that any future product will match every description on the pre-launch website, or that launch will occur in every market mentioned.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law or other mandatory applicable law (including consumer protection rights that may apply in limited circumstances).
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of the website or reliance on pre-launch information;
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the website or these Terms is limited to ZAR 1,000 (one thousand South African Rand), or the minimum amount that mandatory law requires if higher.
These limits do not apply to liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless iKnowMe (Pty) Ltd and its directors, officers, employees and agents from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the website, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
15. Changes to the website and Terms
We may update the website and these Terms from time to time, including when we approach commercial launch. The “Last Updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where mandatory law requires a different process (for example separate acceptance for a paid contract).
Before paid launch, we intend to publish updated Terms covering subscriptions, payments, cancellations, service levels and related commercial terms.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or stop providing the website or any part of it, or end your access, at any time where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse, or operational reasons. You may stop using the website at any time.
Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity) will survive termination.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction’s laws.
Subject to any mandatory rights you have in your country of residence, courts of South Africa will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the website. We both agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith before formal proceedings where practical.
18. General
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the main terms for pre-launch website use. Separate written agreements (for example pilot or partnership contracts) will prevail for their subject matter if they conflict with these Terms.
- Severability: If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction or reorganisation.
- Language: These Terms are provided in English. Translations, if any, are for convenience only.
